An opportunity to discover the backstories and inspirations behind some of the platform’s most powerful voices

Medium is introducing Noteworthy, a new platform featuring its most prolific writers and storytellers (including photographers, illustrators and videographers).

Through an ongoing film and content series that launches today, Noteworthy will highlight a diverse and powerful set of voices handpicked by Medium’s staff. For each Noteworthy writer, people will discover not only their backstories but also what inspires them and why they write.

For this effort -- which marks the company’s first foray into original video -- Medium tapped LA-based indie agency, Standard Time. The first three to be featured include “pop scholar” Alana Massey, “justice seeker” Ezinne Ukoha, and “code coach” Quincy Larson. Additional videos will be released in the coming weeks over at https://noteworthy.medium.com.

According to Sam Duboff, Head of Product Marketing at Medium: “What makes Medium special as a brand and product is the legion of diverse, smart, passionate writers and creators who inspire and entertain readers around the world. With Noteworthy, we wanted to bring these voices to the forefront to showcase the creativity and storytelling that Medium empowers.”

“We selected creators who reflect the diverse set of voices who thrive on Medium. They write on different topics with different styles, but they each have an authenticity, passion, and expertise that has become synonymous with Medium.”

Added Spencer Somers, Creative Director at Standard Time: “In brand marketing, we’re constantly reminded how great athletes and celebrities are. It’s rare to get an opportunity to put writers on a pedestal. Noteworthy, as a content platform and film series, is our way of thanking them for what a huge impact they make in creative culture.”
