McCann Sydney has appointed award winning
creative team copywriter Jonathon "Jono" Shannon (left) and art director
Long Truong (right), to work under ECD Jerker Fagerström and CD Marcus
Tesoriero.
Shannon and Truong bring with them extensive digital
experience and a focus on problem solving that will help push McCann's
creative offering.
Says Fagerström: "We're thrilled to have Jono and Long on board. Their
strong digital background and ability to get to the heart of an insight
will be real assets to our clients; they're exactly the type of
creatives we need to continue to build our agency's profile."
During
their two-year partnership at Holler Australia, Shannon and Truong were
recognised at One Show, Spikes Asia, and the Epica Awards for Audi R8
Blink and Blackmores Mindful Ocean, and also picked up a win in the
D&AD Brand Storytelling competition.
Says Tesoriero: "Jono
and Long will be a great fit for our new creative offering here at
McCann. I'm looking forward to collaborating with them to craft a new
era of innovative work for our clients."
Shannon and Truong have
worked across digital and integrated campaigns for Audi, Blackmores,
Heineken, Fox Sports, Pizza Hut, and Nestlé. They join McCann ready to
hit the ground running.
Says Truong: "There's a real drive to do
great work here at McCann. After talking with Jerker and Marcus about
their vision for the agency, we knew that we had to get involved."
Shannon
agrees: "We couldn't ask for a better opportunity to take our work to
the next level. Both Long and I are excited to be part of such a killer
creative department...and we're also looking forward to smoking the lot of
them at table tennis."
Shannon and Truong join a department
that's made several exciting new hires over the past six months, among
them creative team Fernando Luz (art director) and Will Halstead
(copywriter), who finished 1st and 3rd respectively at AWARD School last
year.
