Manners McDade composer Oli Julian has scored the latest series of BBC programme Motherland.
Written by Sharon Horgan, Graham Linehan, Helen Linehan and Holly Walsh, the comedy follows the trials and traumas of middle-class motherhood.
Motherland returns for a second series as the new school year begins, with a new mum at the school gates who attracts the attention of Julia, Kevin and Liz. Starring Anna Maxwell Martin and Lucy Punch, the second series also introduces Tanya Moodie, Diane Morgan and Paul Ready.
Oli Julian is known for his score to popular Netflix series Sex Education, Catastrophe (C4), Josh (BBC3), Cockroaches (ITV2), and season 4 of Episodes. Oli recently completed a new BBC pilot starring Martin Freeman, Breeders, series five of both Plebs and Cuckoo (with Nick Foster) and series two of Sky One’s comedy drama Living the Dream.
Most recently, Oli finished scoring his first feature film How To Build A Girl, an adaptation of Caitlin Moran’s book due for theatrical release next year.
Motherland airs tonight, BBC Two, at 10pm.
