Mad Cow Signs Director Phil Lind

Mad Cow Films has added director Phil Lind to its UK roster of talent.

Armed with a wealth of broadcast experience, having been Network Creative Director at 4Creative and ITV’s Network Executive Creative Director, Phil brings an ability to create a sense of naturalism to any project.  His style blends a keen sense of performance with a flair for crafting charming and poignant moments. Equally comfortable with humour, documentary, narrative and conceptual film making. 

Lind’s commercial work has steadily gained recognition, much of which involves directing a range of famous talent in addition to actors: Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsay and Derren Brown to name a few. Phil also had the opportunity to direct the entire cast of Shane Meadows’ celebrated mini-series “This is England '86” for a viral promo film.

His most recent work for The Times Unquiet Film Series through Grey London has gained universal critical acclaim.

Phil was Creative Director for the whole project and was tasked with assembling a group of Directors to shoot a series of extraordinary short films showcasing diverse elements of the Newspapers unique personality.  

Launched in June, the series explores the historical and cultural impact of The Times and Sunday Times and the work of editors, journalists and contributors past and present.

The Times bought an entire ad break on Channel 4 during Homeland, to screen one of the shorts from the series (directed by Phil) documenting the kidnapping and return of foreign correspondent Anthony Lloyd and photographer Jack Hill in Syria in May 2014.
