Stitch co-founder & editor Andy McGraw has relocated to lead the new team

Multi award-winning London editorial house Stitch exports its trademark artistry and passion for collaboration with the opening of its Los Angeles office. Stitch co-founder/editor Andy McGraw has relocated to lead the new team, consisting of recently hired editor Leo Scott, Executive Producer Juliet Batter and Rep Millie Munro of Munro & Co. The expansion brings the same creative DNA that has made Stitch one of the most successful editing houses in London, ushering in an exciting new era for the company as a whole.

Over the past four years, founders and editors Andy McGraw, Leo King and Tim Hardy have built Stitch on a solid foundation of powerful and diverse work. This ethos is at the core of its sister company Homespun. Specializing in digital content, music videos and short films, Homespun's main intent is to marry editors and assistant editors with rising young directors on projects that are commissioned solely on the merit of their creative.

McGraw and Scott have both hit the ground running in LA. McGraw recently finished work on Drake's personal short film ‘Jungle’ in advance of his newly-dropped surprise album If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, directed by Caviar’s Karim Huu Do, along with the refreshingly dark comedic Super Bowl spot ‘Puppy Love’ for First Bank directed by Furlined’s Speck/Gordon, while Scott’s ‘Hear What You Want’ campaign for Beats by Dre enjoyed prime airtime during the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl, as well as millions of hits online.

Andy McGraw has been editing high profile ad campaigns with top directors, creatives and producers for over ten years. He has enjoyed multiple Gold Clios for Editing, the Gold Arrow at the British Craft Awards for Best Editing, and appeared in Televisual’s Top Ten Commercial Editors for four years. Outside of advertising, McGraw edited Channel 4’s primetime drama NY-LON and more recently the BAFTA-nominated documentary McCullin.

McGraw points out, “When we started Stitch in London, our goal was simple - to create a company that we’d all love to work for. We had a clear vision of what we wanted to achieve and through late nights, weekends and the support of great clients we did it. Opening in the US feels like a exciting opportunity to expand on something special for both our clients and workforce alike.”

Leo Scott has worked across commercials, film, music and documentary for the past decade, garnering two Gold Clios for editing, as well as landing on Televisual's list of Top Ten Commercial Editors several times. He has collaborated on a number of projects with director Harmony Korine, edited Gia Coppola's acclaimed feature Palo Alto, and most recently, worked on Die Antwoord’s hugely popular ‘Ugly Boy’ video.

Of the recent move to join Stitch LA, Scott remarks, "I’ve been a great admirer of what Stitch has achieved in the UK. They are genuinely guided by creative choices and have already become a go-to place in London. The recent formation of Homespun appeals to me as a place for its editors and assistant editors to produce and showcase interesting side projects and nurture new relationships. I'm excited to be part of the Stitch family during its early years in L.A and look forward to helping the company emulate the level of success it is enjoying in London."

This eventful period continues to gather momentum with the welcoming of Stitch L.A’s Executive Producer Juliet Batter. Formerly a Senior Producer at Rock Paper Scissors, Batter arrives with an impressive record of producing major campaigns for Adidas, Nike, Old Spice and Verizon’s  “A Lot Can Happen In 48 hours,” which earned the Ad Week Watch Award for Best Editing.

Batter remarks, “It was a natural progression to step up to the EP role after many years of producing both in New York and LA. Stitch appealed to me because the attitude is unique. The company has a profound confidence brought about by employing strong talent across the board and an emphasis on working on really interesting projects. We have a great offering. I’m really excited to have the opportunity to manage the company moving forward.”

Operating out of a beautiful modern space in Santa Monica, Stitch provides a relaxed working environment with a highly motivated team and exceptional client service. With the same outstanding tradition of artistry and craft that brought Stitch to prominence in the UK, the Los Angeles office sets off in the pursuit of new and unexpected opportunities that will push Stitch’s unique creative spirit even further forward.
