Lincoln Bjorkman and José María Roca de Viñals Announced as Speakers at El Ojo de Iberoamérica

Global CCO of Wunderman and CCO of DDB Spain set for Argentinian festival
El Ojo de Iberoamérica is celebrating its 20th anniversary of celebrating Iberoamerican creativity this year. To ramp up excitement it has begun announcing the brilliant minds who will be part of its panels, workshops and juries.

Lincoln Bjorkman is Global Chief Creative Officer of Wunderman, responsible of the global creative strategy and of managing the creative process through more than 170 offices in 60 countries, reporting directly to Mark Read, Wunderman’s CEO. He has worked for local clients as well as global clients, those of which include Coca-Cola, Microsoft, T-Mobile, United, Best Buy, Shell, Telefónica, SAB Miller, News International and GSK.

With a degree on Art from the Wesleyan University (with Honors in EnglishLanguage), during his studies he wrote his thesis on the work of William Faulkner and reported for The Associated Press. In the beginning of his career he has worked for Wunderman and for Young & Rubicam, where he was one of the founders and ECD of its agency Brand Buzz and prior to his current charge, Lincoln was EVP, Chief Creative Officer of North America in DigitasLBI, where he was in charge of American Express.

Lincoln has won multiple awards in Cannes (including several Grand Prix), Effie, CLIO, IAB MIXX, One Show, D&AD, NY Festivals, Webby Awards and some of his work has been presented in Communications Arts. He and his team have managed to win the Effectiveness award in Cannes for the piece “Small Business Saturday” for American Express OPEN and AdAge recognized their work as one of the best campaigns in the 21st century. He has been part of the Effie, IAB MIXX, ADDY, Shorty Awards, iAB and the Ad Council and he was even named by Business Insider as part of the 25 most creative personalities in Advertising.

Lincoln leads more than 2000 creatives representing the wide range of disciplines and skills required for creation to manifest the Wunderman motto: “Creatively driven. Data inspired”. Their global teams are selected from a brilliant group of workers to enhance the creative breakthroughs and to take Wundearman’s creativity one step ahead.  This year he will share his vision as a Speaker of El Ojo de Iberoamérica and will talk about the importance of the data study for the creativity in the industry.

José María Roca de Viñals is Vicepresident and CCO of DDB España, member of the DDB Americas Creative Board and the DDB Worldwide Creative Council. Roca has worked with important brands as Audi, BBVA, ColaCao, Damm, Danone, Iberia, MediaMarkt, Movistar, SEAT, Telefónica y Volkswagen, internationally as well as locally. Firm believer of continuous learning, as well as in the power of digital transformation, he has a Master degree in Digital Business, which he studied at the ISDI. This course enhanced his knowledge and experience in the digital world and its infinite creative possibilities.

As a copywriter and creative director, he has won more than 200 awards (Grand Prx, Gold, Silver and Bronze) in the main festivals of creativity around the world, where he also has acted as Jury: Cannes, El Ojo, OneShow, AD&D, Eurobest, New York Festival, Clio Awards, CdeC, ADC, etc. In addition, he participated as a speaker in several academic and professional forums.

In 2015, he was acknowledged as Best Creative Director of Spain and his agency conquered four awards with “Holograms for freedom” for the No Somos Delito foundation, which was the most awards piece of the festival. A year before that, his work “Abortion Travel” for the Spanish Coordinator for the European Women Lobby, was awarded with the Best Spanish Idea for El Ojo Local. 

José María Roca de Viñals will share his knowledge of the industry and of the new technologies to inspire the creativity of all who will be part of the Festival. In addition, he has been selected to lead the body of Juries who will elect the best ideas of the region as President of El Ojo Promo & Activation.

Lincoln Bjorkman and José María Roca de Viñals will share their experience in El Ojo de Iberoamérica 2017.
