The composer agency, whose roster also includes Tom Hodge, Michael Russoff and Donna McKevitt, launched at the end of 2016 and represents composers specialising in film, television, advertising, brand content and video games.
The new division is dedicated to the next generation of composers from wide ranging musical backgrounds, and the first additions see the agency signing Ed Critchley, Benjamin Woodgates and Lindsay Wright.
Ed Critchley is one half of the electronic duo GAPS and has previously scored commercials, short films and video games, including the award-winning Lumino City.
A multi-award winning composer, arranger and musical director, Benjamin Woodgates was selected for the 2014 ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop held annually in Los Angeles.
Having recently completed her MA in Composition at the National Film & Television School, multi-instrumentalist and composer Lindsay Wright has composed music for numerous short films, documentaries, VR games, and advertising campaigns.
“Seeking out and working with new talent is something that we have always done,” said Abi Leland, founder of Leland Originals and its sister music supervision company, Leland Music.
“The ‘New Composers’ roster allows us to take that one step
further, representing, developing and promoting composers who we believe will
become the next celebrated talent.”
