Manners McDade's Creative services partner, Ki Records' artist collaborates with composer and instrumentalist Aukai

Aparde delivers a truly captivating version of Aukai's dreamy piece Closed Eyes, which is the opening track of Aukai's album Branches Of Sun Remixed.

"When I was introduced to Aparde's music I was immediately captivated and keen to see if we could work out a collaboration for one of the Branches Of Sun remixes. I was excited to see how the subtle acoustic sounds of Closed Eyes would merge and co-exist in Award's rapturous electronic textures and beats. For me the remix became quite a perfect synergy of these two worlds; subtle tremolo violin and fragments of plugged Ronroco and harp soar over driving rhythms and synth sounds. I am very pleased with the outcome", says Aukai.

Berlin-based techno producer Aparde is known for his distinctive, atmospheric and emotionally stirring production style. His latest album Glass (out via Ki Records) embodies the essence of force and liberation, packed in emotionally touching and exceptional tracks. Speaking of the remix himself, Aparde has stated: "The audio material, which I've received from Aukai, was pure quality. I started to improvise with the Prophet 08 over the strings and created some layers for the foundation. I wanted to make the sound more dynamic, impulsive and sustaining. As soon as I finished the first arrangement with layers and the Prophet 08 sounds, I've built the drums around it. In the middle of the track I merged the ronroco instrument with the surroundings and gave it a leading position for a short passage. I´m happy to be a part of the Branches of Sun project."
