Leaves SapientNitro to take Chief Talent Officer role

JWT announced today the appointment of Greg Shuler as Chief Talent Officer for the MENA region. Based in Dubai, Shuler will report in to Vatche Keverian, JWT MENA’s CEO. The ex SapientNitro HR lead brings expertise in B2B, digital and technology sectors to an important talent management remit in Middle East and North Africa for the world’s best known marketing communications brand, that has been pioneering ideas people want to engage with for 150 years.

Announcing the appointment Vatche Keverian, JWT MENA CEO stated, “Greg is through and through a talent professional, and more so a people person at heart.  He brings solid leadership experience covering talent management, transformation and employee engagement in multicultural, multinational, digital and creative services organizations. His profile and proven capabilities will help the agency attract talent, develop, groom and grow our people and the next generations of JWT leaders. This year, as we celebrate our 150th anniversary, we know it is the JWT people, their talent and pioneering spirit that has brought us this far and it is this same key ingredient that will take us further into the next 150 years. This is why talent management is a key strategic thrust for JWT MENA, thus the appointment of Greg Shuler.”

Shuler joins from SapientNitro where he has managed the full HR remit for its European business and was instrumental in building the company culture in Europe as well as leading due diligence and acquisition work from a people perspective in the region since 2008.

Prior to SapientNitro Shuler worked at Xchanging, in its technology business (which went public in early 2007) in the company’s talent and HR team.

Shuler holds an MBA from the Newcastle University Business School in the United Kingdom, which focused on organizational development. He also holds a Bachelor in Business Administration and a BSc in Communication from Ohio University. Shuler recently served on the judging panel for the HR Distinction Awards in the UK and was a guest speaker.

The appointment comes shortly after JWT also announced the promotion of Michiel Hofstee from Managing Director of JWT Dubai to CEO for the Gulf operation, furthering the network’s regional impetus, powered by the strong Gulf structure.
