JWT Amsterdam’s School for Justice Wins Black Pencil

J. Walter Thompson’s Amsterdam’s ‘School for Justice’ campaign for NGO Free a Girl has been awarded one of the industry’s highest accolades, the prestigious Black Pencil at D&AD Impact in the category Education. The School for Justice has a bold aim: to take underage girls in India out of prostitution and into prosecution - by educating them to become lawyers and prosecutors with the power to take legal action against the criminals that once owned them.

 

The awards ceremony took place in New York last night, with only three Black Pencils being awarded this year. McCann New York’s ‘Fearless Girl’ and McCann World Group India’s ‘The Immunity Charm’ won Black Pencils alongside J. Walter Thompson Amsterdam.  The ‘School for Justice’ campaign also received a Wood Pencil for Humanitarian Aid.
