jumP's Assistant Editor Michael Wolfe took home first place at AICE’s Camp Kuleshov Competition (L.A. Chapter) for his frightening take on the 1982 classic “Tootsie". Camp Kuleshov calls for entries each year to reimagine feature films as works from a different genre.
The winning piece features a convincing recreation of the film’s trailer, introducing you to the thrilling Dorothy Michaels you never knew. Wolfe gives Dustin Hoffman’s character a brilliant new role as a revenging bachelor, taking on the identity of his desired companion.
jumP had more than one winner at Camp Kuleshov. Assistant Editor Reena Mangubat won third place with her spooky spin on “The Itch.” Stay tuned and help us root for Wolfe as he advances for his chance to win the International Grand Prize.
