John McNeil Studio Wins 2017 WebAward For Best Beverage Website

JohnMcNeil Studio (JMS), a full-service creative studio, has won the 2017 WebAward for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development for Best Beverage Website for its work on behalf of Caledonia Spirits.

The Web Marketing Associationlaunched the annual awards in 1997 to set the standard of excellence for websitedevelopment.

Hardwick, VT-based Caledonia Spiritsis known for its honey-infused Barr Hill gin and vodka.

JMS designed the site to appeal to“at-home amateurs,” or people with a well-stocked bar and a love for creating new cocktails. The website features the honeybee logo and focuses on botanical elements and a brand promise that distills the Bar Hill ethos: Landcrafted in the Heart of Vermont. Woven into the story are the brand’s humble origins and its journey to becoming an award-winning distillery since 2013 for its Barr Hill Gin, Barr Hill Vodka and Tom Cat Gin.

Led by creative director Kim LeLiboux, the winning team also included project manager Ken Chou; executive producer, digital, Deva Ferar; producer Jane Scoleri; designer Alexandra Camacho; UX designer Pora Rith; senior technologist Phil Williams; technologist Chris Stott; junior technologist Aaron Phillips and quality assurance Chris Packer.

“We’re honored to be recognized with this prominent award,” said Le Liboux. “The Caledonia Spirits website is an ideal mix of brand story, cocktail recipes and community outreach—packaged in an elegant, sleek online existence.”

Independent, industry judges reviewedsites from 96 industries. Each site competed against other websites in itsrespective category, and the one with the highest score was named best of categorywinner.
