Jake Nava Gets Vintage with Arctic Monkeys

Believe Media director Jake Nava, best known for Beyonce’s iconic “Single Ladies” video, proves he’s just as suited for rock and roll with Arctic Monkey’s risqué new clip for “Arabella.”

Shot in black and white in a retro Super-8 style, Nava captures footage of the band performing to a room of similarly styled greasers, spliced with hazy images depicting boozing and smoking, vintage motorcycles, and a bit of female nudity.  With a mood of sex and danger throughout, the gritty imagery perfectly matches the Monkey’s aesthetic since rising to rock and roll legend status with the success of their award-winning album AM.
