Agency brings the brand's 'beat of innovation' to life through a sensory experience

This week at Mobile World Congress (MWC), Ericsson is helping people get closer to 5G by bringing to life its innovative work at the forefront of this industry. Jack Morton Worldwide has worked with Ericsson, as its global experiential partner, to create the experience at the world’s premiere mobile industry gathering. This is the 11th consecutive year in which Ericsson and Jack Morton have worked together at MWC. The event takes place at Fira Gran Via, Barcelona from the 25th to the 28th February.

Ericsson has long set the benchmark for the ICT industry. From creating the very first mobile networks through to helping shape the 5G opportunity, Ericsson’s relentless pace of innovation pushes the industry forward. The experience at MWC is designed to allow customers to see, hear and feel this beat and how it can help transform lives, industries and society as a whole as we embark on 5G.

Every aspect of the design of the experience is driven to bring the Ericsson beat of innovation to life, from a sensory experience in the striking arrival through to the use of immersive technology within the demo areas and ‘the drum’ installation at the heart of the experience. The drum, which serves as the backdrop for the media and analysts’ briefing and consultant meet-ups, provides a focal point for the experience, and broadcasts Ericsson’s position as the leading enabler of 5G.

Matthew Smith, head of customer engagement marketing at Ericsson said: “At MWC we wanted people to have the opportunity to get close to 5G – to feel the beat of Ericsson’s innovative work and to experience how innovative technology made easy can change the world. We’re delighted to have achieved just that.”

Mike Kunheim, managing director at Jack Morton Worldwide, commented: “Our decade long partnership with Ericsson is built on a shared ambition to accelerate the future. Together, we have co-created extraordinary brand experiences that immerse people in the proof of Ericsson’s innovation promise and now - the next exciting chapter of 5G.”
