Award-winning director and producer Bonhôte signs to Burger Films’ global directing roster

Ian Bonhȏte Signs to Burger

New Burger signing Ian has not only worked on multiple international campaigns for the likes of Nike, Gatorade, Pepsi, Peugeot and Puma but also co-founded production company Pulse Films with Marissa Clifford and Thomas Benski.

Through his directing, Ian has worked across multiple platforms on global advertising campaigns, fashion content, music promos (think Mumford & Sons, Morcheeba, Tom Jones…) and long form projects.

As well as directing many major entertainment and sports stars, Ian recently directed ‘ALLEYCATS’ a feature film, aligned with a major studio, which he also executive produced. As if that wasn’t enough to get his teeth stuck into, he has also been working on a thriller called “Laundrymen” and a two-part documentary for Arte called “The Histroy of the Dancefloor” in co-production with Capa (France)!

Burger founder Alan Traquair comments, “Ian is a Director that will always deliver. He understands the industry more than most and will conform when required but the thing I love most about him is that he is not afraid to colour outside the lines.”  He adds, “we are honoured that he has chosen to continue his commercials career with us after taking a break to make his first feature film.  He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience, having Directed big brand campaigns on the global stage. We only look forward at Burger and having Ian join the Burger family is a massive boost for us and we look to the future and good times ahead."

Ian comments, "I’m always very excited if there’s a really good concept to harness and I’m looking forward to creating great work at Burger, with interesting ideas, regardless of format or size.  My film has taught me to push the boundaries in terms of what you can achieve creatively or for the budget. I want to bring all this new experience/ skills and hopefully place them at the heart of all future advertising projects. It is all about passion for me.  Alan is an outstanding Producer and I am really happy he asked me to be a part of his new venture."
