Regional executive creative director of emerging markets at Publicis, Rod Henriques, takes a look at a selection of impressive campaigns from the year so far
The year has just started, and it’s already looking very promising. I’ve collected five campaigns launched in the first of weeks of January that I consider interesting and are setting the stage for the upcoming months...
Apple TV - 'Call Me'
Agency: TBWA/Media Arts Labs
Production: MJZ
Director: Tom Kuntz
After John Ham (last year) now it’s time for Timothée Chalamet ask Apple to invite him for a production. Nicely directed and fun to watch. Definitely a great way to say that Apple TV have a huge selection of Hollywood stars on their series / films without being cocky.
McDonald's - 'We Speak Late Night'
Agency: DDB Aotearoa
Brilliant execution of a funny insight. We’ve all been there.
Dog's Trust - 'A Dog Is for Life'
Agency: VCCP London
Director: Nicolas Jack Davies
Owners and their dogs they should have the best partnership through life, and this campaign explains in a such an emotional way.
Nivea - 'The Shadow Jumper'
Agency: Publicis POT
Production: Jungler
Director: Vincent Gibaud
Based on a true story, this beautiful animation portraits the struggles of a little girl dealing with a severe skin condition and how Nivea is helping her to overcome a battle with the sun.
Bud Light - 'Easy to Drink, Easy to Enjoy'
Agency: Anomaly
Flawlessly manoeuvring through a packed bar with drinks in the hands, the protagonist keeps us impressed with her beer-carrying ability, making the product feel light, fun and easy to consume. A great translation of the products RTB without saying a word.
