Japanese electronic components manufacturer TDK has merged the worlds of nature and tech to introduce 'Bons-AI' - a product that looks like a Roomba fused with a bonsai plant featuring built-in artificial intelligence.
According to TDK, the smart plant's features include a soil sensor that lets you know when it's thirsty; a camera to detect movement; an LED panel for expressing its feelings; a speaker to communicate with people and a solar cell as its power supply.
The Bons-AI is part of TDK's Attracting Tomorrow project - an initiative centred on creating cutting-edge technologies for the future.
