Independent agency, Great State, has named AKQA’s former head of delivery, Jinny Mitchell-Kent, as its first chief operating officer. Mitchell-Kent joins the leadership line-up with immediate effect, reporting into managing director, Neil Collard.

The appointment strengthens the agency’s management team, signalling a continued commitment to delivering innovative and high-quality products and services for a rapidly growing national and international client-base, which includes Honda Europe, the Royal Navy and INEOS Automotive.

Neil Collard, managing director commented: “We are increasingly involved in more innovative, technically complex and large-scale projects. Jinny will play a crucial role in helping us to create new pioneering experiences and highly secure, robust products that customers can rely on every day.”

Jinny brings 10 years of global agency experience, working with some of the world’s biggest brands across a range of sectors and specialisms. Including helping Dyson to deliver their first connected product and leading multiple automotive accounts such as Fiat, McLaren Automotive and Rolls-Royce.

She was most recently Head of Delivery for AKQA in London, leading a 35+ strong team with responsibility for all delivery and operations. In the newly formed role, Mitchell-Kent will take charge of scaling, integrating and optimising processes within the Great State business and building cohesion between their two offices.

Mitchell-Kent said: “It’s refreshing to see an independent agency thriving in an increasingly competitive and network-dominated industry. We share a commitment to have a positive impact on the world, however small, delivering value for clients through new technologies, agile methodologies and innovative ideas. I’m excited to be part of building their future vision.”
