Full-service post production facility works on Christmas campaigns for Vodafone, Body Shop, Debenhams and Sky

With Christmas just around the corner and 2015 coming to a close, Gramercy Park Studios is excited to share the latest campaigns that the team has worked on.

This year’s roundup includes a festive foursome of Christmas campaigns that range from Vodafone’s sentimental tear-jerker, to a downright X-rated Xmas spot for the Body Shop.

As one of the few post production houses in London to offer both audio and visual post in one location, the eclectic array of ads allowed the team to showcase their skills in editing, colour grading, motion graphics and design, finishing and sound.

Vodafone 'Terry the Turkey' (VFX, Colour)

Grey London

Gramercy Park Studios applied their VFX and colour grading skills to this Vodafone Christmas spot. Taking the teary route, Vodafone present the story of how ‘Terry the Turkey’ wins the hearts of his adopted family and, thankfully, dodges the oven come Christmas day.

Jamie Russell, VFX artist, comments: “Christmas is always an exciting period to be working in the advertising industry. Working with Vodafone is always a pleasure, and the ‘Terry the Turkey’ campaign was great to be involved in as we wrap up another great year for Gramercy Park Studios.”

Debenhams “Found It” (VFX, Colour, Sound)

J. Walter Thompson

Supplying VFX, colour grading and sound design talents to the aptly named ‘Found It’ campaign, the team helped Debenhams capture the real sense of struggle, and eventual relief, we all feel when searching for the right present for that that special someone.

Sky 1 “Fungus The Bogeyman” (Colour)

Sky

Head of Colour, Ben Rogers, worked on Sky One’s campaign advertising the revival of another classic character – ‘Fungus the Bogeyman’. Santa has disappeared in this Christmas spot and Fungus is coming down the chimney in a less than graceful fashion.

Ben comments: “The colour grading on TV spots for children’s programming is always an entertaining process. There’s always a lot of scope for experimental and vivid grading; this campaign was no different.”

The Body Shop “Jingle Bells” (Colour, Sound)

MindsEye

Colour grading and sound design combined for this scandalously sexy Body Shop spot, which brings nations and cultures together with two things that unite us all: Jingle Bells and bathroom-based karaoke. The film also comes with a charitable twist - The Body Shop is promising to provide one day of safe drinking water for families in Ethiopia for every gift set sold, in conjunction with WaterAid.

Richard Donaghue, Senior Audio Producer, comments: “2015 has been another tremendous year for Gramercy Park Studios. We have continued to show that we have at our disposal some of the most talented artists working in post production, and we are all proud to have worked on some amazing projects this year. This year’s Christmas spots have been another opportunity for our artists to flaunt their skills and have some fun. Here’s to another great year in 2016.”
