ITB create publishing opportunity for ‘Gio_Graphy: Fun In The Wild World of Fashion’ which launches in NYC’s iconic department store
Acclaimed Italian fashion editor Giovanna Battaglia Engelbert has launched her debut book, Gio_Graphy: Fun In The Wild World Of Fashion, with a takeover of Bergdorf Goodman.
Taking over all windows of 5th Avenue’s legendary department store for the duration of New York Fashion Week, Battaglia Engelbert will host a cocktail event and a book signing to celebrate the publication of her first book with Rizzoli.
A well-known stylist with a huge digital following, Battaglia Engelbert is managed by ITB’s Representation Division to help build her profile on a global level. The international entertainment marketing agency helped secure the W Magazine columnist’s book deal and consequent promotional opportunities during the launch period.
Chenelle Croll, Director of Representation, comments: “As managers we pride ourselves with our ability to work on a strategic level with each of our talent – concepting them as a brand and building that vision out. In the case of Giovanna, it made perfect sense to take the following she has with her W Magazine column and generate something more tangible. By creating a publishing opportunity, it allows her to physically build her ‘world’; using one of New York’s most legendary department stores as a launch platform.
On 8th September, Battaglia Engelbert will unveil her NYFW curated windows, which will be followed by a celebratory cocktail event. On 9th September, she will also be signing copies of her witty style book. A curated pop-up store will be launched in-store featuring a collection of T-Shirts designed by Giovanna, alongside her curation of other items.
Battaglia Engelbert comments: “For me, Bergdorf Goodman has always represented the epitome of a stylish, elegant New York experience. It’s a Willy Wonka factory of fashion! Collaborating with them is like the fashion equivalent of a Pulitzer Prize for me”.
Battaglia Engelbert is acclaimed in the fashion world for her contemporary aesthetic which melds sophistication and playfulness. An editor of Vogue, stylist, creative director and consultant, Battaglia Engelbert is also a consultant to luxury brands, of which clients have included Swarovski, Moncler, Carolina Herrera, and Michael Kors. The stylist has also been featured in publications such as the Financial Times, Vanity Fair and Vogue.
