The promotion comes less than two years since he joined the agency

Global creative collective Forsman & Bodenfors has announced the promotion of Mike Densmore from president to chief executive officer of the agency’s New York co-headquarters, effective immediately. As CEO, he will continue to focus on expanding Forsman & Bodenfors’ client portfolio while driving the agency’s collaborative and fluid interdisciplinary ways of working and evangelizing this approach internally and with clients.

Densmore joined Forsman & Bodenfors New York in November 2017 as president and in the last 12 months has spearheaded new partnerships with world-renowned brands such as Hyatt, Diageo, iRobot and Victoria’s Secret, among others. During his short tenure, he has helped to grow the agency’s capabilities which include the recent expansion of its engagement offering, further incorporating content, social media and earned media into an integrated and collaborative system that spans existing strategy, creative and media disciplines. Most recently, the New York office was included in Advertising Age’s Agency A-List 2019 package.

“Mike’s relentless commitment to world-class creative work and to our people is unparalleled. He is a strong leader and really nice at the same time, which is why we love him,” said Anna Qvennerstedt, copywriter and global executive chairman at Forsman & Bodenfors. “The way he is shaping the New York office’s culture and his exceptional ability to juggle business, crazy ideas and human beings are what make him the perfect fit for leading F&B into the future.”

“I’m so grateful for everyone at F&B who motivates me to grow, work harder, achieve more, and learn every day while having a ton of fun in the process. Our team is not just a group of people who work together. We trust one another and openly collaborate in order to foster a truly diverse and inclusive creative environment. I’m honored and humbled to be put in this position of responsibility. I feel very optimistic and excited about what’s ahead,” said Densmore.

Prior to joining Forsman & Bodenfors New York, Densmore spent nearly four years as BBH’s first global chief growth officer where he led the additions of Netflix, Amazon, Nest, Hello Fresh, Brighthouse Financial, Grubhub and Seamless to its client roster. Prior to that, he was CMO at McKinney and head of business development at Droga5. Throughout Mike’s 20-year-long career, he has also worked on a number of global brands including Google, Spotify, Nike, JetBlue, Budweiser, General Motors, and Converse.
