DDB Sydney has announced the appointment of top international agency leader Priya Patel to DDB Sydney managing director.
Says
Andrew Little, CEO, DDB Australia: "It gives me great pleasure to
welcome Priya to the DDB Group in Australia. With extensive brand
advertising experience and a proven track record in new business, she is
the right person to lead DDB Sydney to continued success into the
future."
Highly experienced in the management of large teams and key client
relationships, Patel has worked across top UK and International brands
including Harvey Nichols, Philips, Virgin Media, Marks & Spencer,
BBC, Lloyd's and Bank of Scotland.
Says Patel: "I started my
career as a grad at DDB London, and I absolutely loved it. Coming back
to that DDB culture was a huge drawcard. They look after their people
and really grow talent."
In addition to driving success on new
business and large accounts across telco, retail, finance, FMCG,
technology and media, Patel has a passion for creating bespoke agency
people and culture programs.
Says Patel: "I firmly believe in the
importance of building relationships and teams over time, and that's
something I'm really looking forward to doing at DDB.
"I'm really excited to be joining Andrew and such a talented team, and getting stuck into working on some big, famous accounts."
Patel
will start in the agency in mid July. DDB Sydney continues recruitment
for a chief strategy officer, while DDB Australia's Leif Stromnes,
managing director of strategy and innovation, acts in the role.
