Ellie Kemper and Michael Ian Black to Host The One Show

The One Club (www.oneclub.org) today announced that comedian-actors Ellie Kemper (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) and Michael Ian Black (Wet Hot American Summer) will host the 43rd Annual One Show Awards, the most prestigious international awards show honouring the best in advertising, design and marketing communications.

Ellie will host the awards ceremony on Friday, May 13th at Cipriani Wall Street, and Michael will host the awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 11th at Gotham Hall.

Ellie is currently starring in Tina Fey and Robert Carlock’s half-hour comedy for NBC, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Ellie Kemper portrayed ‘Erin Hannon’ on the last 5 seasons of NBC's series The Office. Kemper first gained attention with her one-woman show, "Feeling Sad/Mad," at the UCB Theater.  She co-starred in Bridesmaids (Universal) and has also appeared in 21 Jump Street (Sony), Identity Thief (Universal) and Somewhere (Focus Features).

Michael Ian Black is a multi-media talent who’s starred in numerous films and TV series, written and/or directed two films, is a published author and commentator, and regularly tours the country performing his ribald brand of jokes and observations. He’s currently starring in TV Land's “The Gaffigan Show” and Comedy Central’s “Another Period,” both of which are shooting their second seasons. Last summer, he reprised his iconic film role in the first season of the Netflix series, “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp.” This May, his third standup comedy special, “Noted Expert,” debuts on Epix. He also recently released his well-reviewed second memoir, “Navel Gazing.”

The One Show takes place during Creative Week (May 9th-13th).  Visit www.oneshow.org to purchase tickets and to view the complete schedule.
