Editor Mark Burnett Joins Whitehouse Post

Whitehouse Post welcomes a great new Editor to its fold this week. Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Mark Burnett’s journey has seen him working with numerous editing houses and Clients as he honed his craft before being enticed to join the London office.

Starting at Post Office Films and The Editors in Sydney, Mark moved to London in 2009 to join Speade for 4 years, before cutting out of Tenthree in Soho. 

His popular and distinctive style has been awarded with numerous accolades including Clios, BTA’s and Cannes Lions. 

In 2012 his documentary ‘ Shut up and play the hits’ featured at Sundance and more recently he has contributed on Jared Leto’s directorial debut ‘Artifact’. He also edited a Bafta listed short starring Alan Rickman and a segment in ABC's ‘Of Death 2’.

Burnett’s often quirky and comedic style has seen him working with many of the finest comedy Directors around including Jim Hosking at Hungryman, Hamish Rothwell at Rattling Stick, Knucklehead’s Ben Gregor and Biscuit Film’s Matt Dilmore. 

In is not just in this arena though that Mark excels. In contrast to comedy Mark works hand in hand with commercial and documentary filmmaker Finn McGough of Rogue and recently edited some beautiful charity spots for Liz Murphy.

His eye for comedy, ability as an all round Editor and his Client relationships makes him a popular choice. Mark makes a great addition to the team across all of Whitehouse Post’s offices.
