Douglas Bernardt Joins Stink Films for US Representation

International production company Stink Films has announced the addition of director and DP Douglas Bernardt to its US roster for commercials and music videos, continuing his success and growth in the Stink network. 

A real highlight this year was Douglas’ short film 'Bluesman' for Baco Exu do Blues’ eponymous album. The film explores racism, diversity, and violence in a unique and illuminating portrait of Rio life through the eyes of a gregarious young man. As an inherently Brazilian topic and artist, it was a staggering achievement for this piece of work to receive worldwide accolades, including the Grand Prix in Entertainment for Music at the Cannes Lions, 2019 D&AD Awards, and the Grand Prix at Ciclope Latino 2019. 

Says Daniel Bergmann, Stink Films founder: “Having started his career as a cinematographer in Brazil, Douglas has gone on to create a name for himself internationally. It’s a journey that we are incredibly proud of and wish to continue with this US signing. Douglas represents the growth capacity of Stink across the world, and his continued success is also one of our greatest achievements.”

Douglas' commercial work includes projects for Fiat, Corona, and Samsung.
