Award-winning docu-style and storytelling director signs for US representation

Culver City, CA-based production company, Backyard Productions, has signed director Patrick Creadon for exclusive US commercial representation. Known for his strong visual approach and unique ability to draw authentic performances out of his subjects, Patrick marries bold and striking visuals with compelling storytelling.

Based in LA, Patrick has been making creative content and specialising in the world of non-fiction storytelling while also working on commercials, television projects, and award-winning documentary films. Vision coupled with creative storytelling has been the driving force and foundation of Patrick’s artistic endeavours, filming all across the globe - he has shot numerous commercials and content for Fisher-Price, Unilever, Intel and Fair Trade.

Backyard CEO, Kevin Allodi, comments: "Patrick is a great talent and a fantastic addition to our roster.  We’re really looking forward to working him at Backyard, furthering his involvement in docu-style commercials and branded content, in addition to his feature work."

“The advertising and branded content space is dramatically evolving, and I’m excited to be a part of a company that is firmly grounded in the traditional commercial production world, but also forward thinking about the possibilities of short form filmmaking within the creative commercial advertising and digital content space. It’s both exciting and inspiring,” comments Patrick.

Patrick’s feature projects have been screened at film festivals all over the country, including Sundance, Tribeca and Slamdance. His directorial debut Wordplay, premiered at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival, and went on to become the second-highest grossing documentary of 2006. Other films include I.O.U.S.A. (2008), If You Build It (2014), All Work All Play (2015), and an instalment about Notre Dame football for ESPN's award-winning documentary series 30 for 30 (2016). His critically acclaimed documentary, 'Hesburgh' (2018), about the legendary long-time president of the University of Notre Dame, will see its theatrical release later this year. His latest film, Ski Bum: The Warren Miller Story (2019), will have its world premiere on January 25th opening the SLAMDANCE Film Festival in Park City, UT.
