Jeremy stepped into directing in 2012 with 'A Day In The Life Of My Stepdad'

Jeremy Cole has signed to the My Accomplice roster. Prior to embarking on a directing career, Jeremy Cole was a freelance editor / motion GFX designer. Jeremy studied TV Design & Production at Kingston University. First Class honours he is keen to point out!

Jeremy transitioned into directing in 2012 with 'A Day In The Life Of My Stepdad'; a short film about the influential role of a stepdad to a young boy growing up in Stockwell. Filmed in a day, it premiered on Channel 4 and played at festivals around the world.

Jeremy attained further acclaim with his three series of 'Four To The Floor' for Channel 4 Music which showcased new UK artists and featured amazing visuals, animation and music. The series was described as “TV that restores faith in the future” by the Guardian, and beat Jules Holland, Glastonbury and The BRITS to pick up the 2016 Broadcast Award for Best Music Show.

Jeremy soon found further success directing and conceiving music videos and commercials alongside his docs and TV shows, collaborating with some of his favourite artists and people, including Young Fathers, Lil Simz and Etta Bond.

Jamie Clark, EP at My Accomplice, comments: "Jeremy is a multi-talented individual. His work has a very strong visual style that runs through it and he is also an extremely strong story teller. His output includes award winning short films and TV series, through to fantastic music videos for the likes of Young Fathers and Lil Simz. It’s that breadth of experience that we are really looking forward to partnering with. My Accomplice are delighted to be working with Jeremy and developing his music video and commercials career alongside his film output. Jeremy challenges himself with every project he does and his work pushes the boundaries with how we both tell and consume stories. He is also a very nice chap!"

Jeremy Cole says: “I’ve talked with and worked with a lot of production companies, but found MA’s long term plan to nurture directors refreshing. Not to mention being a big fan of most of the directors on the roster already. I think My Accomplice have an exciting future and I want to be a part of that."
