KLM keeps inventing ways to make the journey of their passengers go as smooth as possible. If things go smooth, these efforts often go unnoticed.
To make people notice some ways in which KLM assists them during their journey through Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, DDB & Tribal Amsterdam created a fascinating piece of craftsmanship: KLM’s Airport Experience, https://flyforward.klm.com/cases/airport-experience an installation around 198 steel marbles, representing passengers on their way to catch a flight.
The installation consists of a steel track – completely created by hand – which leads the marbles past various services.
On the go they pass services like self-service baggage check-in and the KLM Crown Lounge.
The journey ends in neatly ordered lines of marbles, representing the seat plan of an airplane.
The KLM Airport Experience installation will be exhibited at the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven (The Netherlands) from this Saturday, October 21st until October 29th.
