CSM Live works with the European Tour to create the best live experience for fans and competitors alike

The 2017 BMW PGA Championship celebrated its 63rd year and BMW’s 13th as the title sponsor of the prestigious event. 

And once again CSM Live was entrusted to bring the tournament to life for the 109,684 spectators that visited Wentworth between the 23rd and 28th May, and the millions that watched across the globe on TV. 

On the course, it was another world class affair with a stellar field including the likes of Justin Rose, looking to make amends for his play-off loss at the Masters, Henrik Stenson, Martin Kaymer and Ian Poulter.  

Wentworth’s West Course had also undergone a multi-million-pound upgrade, most notably making the greens firmer, which was widely lauded by the players and pundits alike. 

This all contributed to a high quality and entertaining tournament with drama throughout the four days of competition. It culminated in Sweden’s Alex Noren claiming the coveted trophy with a course record, 10 under par 62, to win on the final Sunday of the tournament. He finished two shots ahead of Francesco Molinari (-9) on 11 under par. 


The close collaboration between the European Tour and CSM Live meant the client needs were clearly understood, allowing the artwork for such items as the impressive 18th hole grandstand to be designed and delivered early. This helped minimise disruption and ensure the highest quality experience for competitors and fans alike.
