The jury announcement follows the appointment of Forsman & Bodenfors' Anna Qvennerstedt as 2019 chair
Following its reboot earlier this year and the appointment of Anna Qvennerstedt of Forsman & Bodenfors as the 2019 chair, Cresta has been attracting a host of top new jurors to its Grand Jury.

Unlike most festival juries, Cresta’s is permanent. Jurors are invited to stay on the panel for a number of years and this is seen as a major advantage by this resurgent awards platform.

“The essence of Cresta - as its name suggests - is creative standards, and by maintaining a consistent team of global judges we also maintain consistently high creative judging standards” says new Cresta president, Alan Page.

He went on to add, “it was clear to us, however, that the panel needed refreshing and adding to this year. Experience is important, of course, but so is diversity, youthfulness and fresh thinking. Getting the mix right is vital. So we are delighted at the range of talents now asking to join our team.”

Cresta claims to have one of the fairest judging systems. In the final rounds, all judges vote independently. There is no discussion, no arguing, no pressure. Awards are given based on work achieving certain creative standards as reflected in each year’s average scores.

“It’s a unique judging system” says Page, “ and perhaps the fairest around. We trust our 90+ carefully chosen individual judges to thoroughly assess each entry’s concept, execution, impact and effectiveness without fear or favour.”
