Composer Matt Sheeran Signs Two-Way Deal with BMG and BMG Production Music

Classically-trained composer and songwriter Matt Sheeran has signed an exclusive global publishing deal with BMG and BMG Production Music.

Matt, older brother to chart-topper Ed Sheeran, is a highly accomplished musician who has applied his talents to chart hits, film scores, and advertisements.

Matt co-wrote a new version of Ed Sheeran’s UK Number One ‘Perfect', resulting in the single becoming a version where Matt added a string orchestration alongside the vocals and lyrics of Italian legend Andrea Bocelli. The accompanying music video to their duet titled ‘Perfect Symphony’ has reached over 150 million views on YouTube.

Most recently, Bocelli and the Sheerans reunited for ‘Amo Soltano Te', a track found on Andrea Bocelli’s newest Number One album Si.

Matt said: “I saw three different publishing companies that were all really good, but BMG was really exceptional. It wasn’t a difficult decision. It definitely felt like the right place to go.”
