CICLOPE Festival Announces Launch of CICLOPE Latino

CICLOPE Festival has announced the launch of CICLOPE Latino, a new regional event dedicated to reward the most well-crafted campaigns, short films and music videos made by Latin American professionals and/or for a Latin American audience. The event will take place at Museo Memoria y Tolerancia, in Mexico City, on July 25th, and it will become a benchmark of the best of the region as well as a platform to discover new talent.

Through an award show, CICLOPE Latino will recognize the most outstanding works in the region, in categories such as Direction, Visual Effects, Editing, 3D Animation, Stop Motion, Sound Design, Branded Content, Music Video and New Talent. Despite being a regional event, CICLOPE Latino is aimed to put Latin America under the world’s spotlight. Therefore, the work will be judged by a selection of top creatives and producers from all over the world, such as Sally Campbell (Founder, Somesuch), Andrés Ordóñez (ECD, Energy BBDO), Daniel Bergmann (Founder, Stink), Diane McArter (Founder, Furlined), Mariano Serkin (ECD, Saatchi & Saatchi Europe), Susan Hoffman (Global ECD, Wieden+Kennedy), Mindy Goldberg (Founder, Epoch Films), Claudio Lima (CCO, Ogilvy Brasil), Yuka Tsukada (CD, Dentsu Inc.), Romero Cavalcanti (CD, FCB Brasil), Brian O’Rourke (Director of Production, TBWA\Chiat\Day), and many more. In an intensive judging session to be held in Mexico City, the jury panel will award one Bronze, one Silver and one Gold prize in each category, and will be able to deliver one Grand Prix per section. The Gold and Grand Prix winners will automatically become finalists at CICLOPE Festival, the global award show to be held in Berlin, on November 3 & 4, where they will also be showcased in a special event.   

CICLOPE Latino will also offer inspiring talks and networking activities. At The Market, the festival’s delegates will be able to meet and discuss business opportunities with creatives and producers from Energy BBDO, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Furlined, Saatchi & Saatchi, Somesuch, Wieden+Kennedy, Dentsu, Epoch Films, Ogilvy Brasil and many others companies. Meanwhile, in the Next Room people will have the chance to experience first-hand the latest in virtual reality and immersive technologies.

CICLOPE Latino is the first of a series of regional events that will continue on March 2017 with CICLOPE Asia (to take place in Tokyo, Japan), aimed to build new bridges in the global community.
