Gavin describes the move, as “a refocus and recommitment to our working practises, allowing everyone at Cherry Cherry to benefit from the fresh energy Ian and Hugo will bring in their new positions.  By promoting within the organisation we retain the natural cohesion built up over the years and are dedicated to the support, training and development of our talented team members which themselves are behind the successes of the company.”

Cherry Cherry is now a true hub for collaboration, creativity, vision and excitement where people can come together, exchange ideas and develop extraordinary talent.

Broadening the range of services offered at Cherry Cherry is also a vital aspect for newly appointed MD Ian Harland:

“I am delighted that in my new position I will oversee our new growth. We are continuing to develop a unique, collaborative approach with super talented people to provide the very best range and highest standard of work, whilst maintaining a personal and consistent service within a relaxed “boutique” environment.  Keeping this ethos, our new structure means beyond our excellent reputation for VFX, CGI and VR/AR, we will now be able to offer an end to end post service, including concept art, editing and grading.”

Hugo Saunders, embracing his new role as Creative Director states:

“Taking on this new role starts an exciting new chapter in my career. I want our team to feel positive and to take pride in their work. I want to maintain the high standards our clients expect at Cherry Cherry; a place they can come for quality and creativity, and hopefully we can grab a few awards on the way.”

Cherry Cherry looks forward to its continued success and to welcoming new and exciting business opportunities.

Cherry Cherry is headed up by:

Gavin Hay – CEO

Gavin has been involved in the world of media since 1989, co-creating more than 50 television formats, many ground-breaking, and syndicated worldwide.  In 2001 his company, Brighter Pictures, was sold to Endemol where he remained a non-executive for many years.  Gavin brings a world of experience to Cherry Cherry

Ian Harland – Managing Director

With a breadth of knowledge and passion for producing, Ian has been at Cherry Cherry since 2016 and prides himself on giving his full experience to any project of any size.  Having worked previously for Framestore and Big Buoy for brands such as BMW, Kellogg’s and Cadbury’s, his attention to detail makes Ian the perfect person for the role of Managing Director. His enthusiasm at Cherry Cherry as well as his passion for team development means he is an ideal figurehead and driving force for the company and new business.

Hugo Saunders – Creative Director

Hugo joined the Cherry Cherry team from MPC in 2017 as VFX Supervisor, having had over 12 years experience in the field.  He brings with him talent in flame, Nuke, Nuke Studio and Smoke, having worked with clients such as Sony, Samsung, H&M and ITV.  Eager to work closely with clients and express his creative talents, Hugo’s promotion to Creative Director is a natural and well-deserved progression.
