A crew led by Canica Films director Sergio Di Negro was recently invited to shoot a video for Pepe Corzo, a renowned Peruvian art director and set designer. They set out to make a featurette that will accompany the artist’s work in a showcase arranged by the Ibero-American Design Biennal held in the Museo do Design e da Moda (MUDE) in Portugal.
The festival opened its doors on April 22nd, hosting more than 120 works selected from a diverse pool of artists from 23 different countries. This year’s Biennal is being held in Lisbon, 2017’s Design Capital of the World. Among the artists being showcased is Corzo, whose work will be part of the MUDE’s Novo Mundo (New World) art show. It is a set of pieces meant to illustrate the Biennal’s vision of “design as a real agent of change in society and mankind”.
