Cancer Council has appointed VCCP Sydney to develop a new national campaign.
The
appointment follows a competitive pitch and will see the Sydney based
challenger agency responsible for the creation of a new national
campaign aimed at raising awareness of the breadth of work undertaken by
Cancer Council across its research, prevention, support and advocacy
remits. The campaign is expected to launch in early 2018.
Cancer Council is one of Australia's most high profile and long standing
charities, operating across all States and Territories.
Says Kristofer Rogers, director of marketing and fundraising, Cancer Council Australia: "Cancer Council is a
household name in Australia, yet most people don't realise just how much
we do. We lead the way with research and advocacy, but we also run
prevention programs like SunSmart and amazing services like rural
patient transport. So we were looking for an innovative approach to
communicate the breadth of the work we undertake and the VCCP team
delivered that. We are very excited to be working with them."
VCCP, CEO Andrew Holt says the agency is honoured to have been chosen: "Cancer
Council is an iconic brand and its work saves and improves lives - they
work tirelessly across Australia to fight cancer everyday. This
campaign is a big milestone for the organisation, as all States &
Territories are collaborating to deliver a vital message to Australia.
We are humbled to have been chosen to partner with them."
Says Gary Dawson, executive creative director, VCCP Sydney: "Cancer
Council does phenomenal work and our job is to tell their story and
ensure everyone better understands the importance of supporting their
efforts. It's an inspiring brief and an important responsibility."
Cancer
Council joins VCCP Sydney's rapidly growing client list; including ING
Direct, Fitness First, Compare the Market, Purplebricks, TAFE Western
Sydney, Feros Care and hipages.
