Company aims to bloster new growth with slew of new hires

“Even by our usual standards at Boys + Girls, the past 12 months has been an accelerated period of growth and expansion.

The appointment of Robert Senior, one of the most respected figures in global advertising as our non-executive Chairman, our three year contract extension with Three, winning the global creative business for Proximo (with brands such as Jose Cuervo and Bushmills), plus international and domestic awards for creativity and a major brand-fresh are just some of the highlights. As Ireland’s largest independently owned creative agency, we’re delighted to announce details of the people behind 10 new roles in Digital, Studio, Planning, Client Service, Creative and Operations”

That’s according to Patrick Meade, partner and managing director of Boys+ Girls. Established in 2009 with six founders, the business now has a head count of 58 staff.

 

DIGITAL

Sarah Sherry, Head of Digital Business

In her new role, Sarah will be responsible for developing and implementing a distinctive vision for the agency’s digital strategy that ultimately generates highly effective, business building digital work for clients. Part of her remit includes making digital an even more embedded aspect of Boys + Girls’ brand DNA while communicating the agency’s capability to deliver stand alone and integrated campaigns. Sarah was previously Digital Director and then VP of Marketing at Virgin records in the UK before returning to Ireland and working previously as Account Director at In the Company of Huskies.

STUDIO

Patrick Horan, Motion Designer & Animator

With previous experience as a digital and motion designer at Dynamo and Deloitte Digital Dublin, Patrick was awarded membership in the International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD) and the Royal Society of Arts (RSA), with design work for Today FM and The George selected as part of the 100 Archive in 2017. He is currently working on motion lead projects for Three, Irish Radioplayer and Jose Cuervo.

David Christopher Lynch, Cinematographer+Editor

A former Leinster and Ireland underage captain, David has six years industry experience working on productions such as Game of Thrones, Vikings, Ripper Street, Delinquent Season, The Restaurant and Operation Transformation. Most notably, he produced the short film Terminal which was nominated for an IFTA in 2017. At Boys + Girls, David joins the production department and will form a key part of the content studio.

 

PLANNING

Keith Reynolds, Digital Strategist

With four years’ experience in social media and digital strategy working in RMG, JWT Folk and Wavemaker (Group M), Keith has worked on a wide range of clients such as National Lottery & Euro millions, Peroni, Lucozade, Vodafone, eir, Irish Life and Liberty Insurance. In his role as Digital Strategist, Keith works in Boys + Girls’ planning department across a variety of clients.

CLIENT SERVICE

Hannah Hewetson, Account Executive 

Hannah joined Boys and Girls to bring her digital + social knowledge to the global Proximo and Fitbit team having worked previously with digital agency CKSK and formerly in Guns or Knives.

 

Jean O'Connor, Account Executive

Having studied Applied Psychology at University College Cork, Jean then followed this with a Masters in Advertising at Dublin's Institute of Technology. She is now working with her fellow team members on campaigns for Ulster Bank, Dulux, Trinity and Barnardos. 

Sadhbh Murphy, Experiential Executive

As Experiential Executive at Boys and Girls, Sadhbh supports the experiential department, working across Three, Ulster Bank, Proximo and Energia. Her experience is in brand development, producing, styling and directing. 

 

CREATIVE

Georgia Murphy, Copywriter

Having previously studied Geography and Sociology at Trinity College, Georgia is now working on campaigns for Three Mobile, Dulux, Barnardos, Ulster Bank and Skoda. 

Cian O’Connell, Art Director

A graduate of NCAD with a BA (Hons) in Visual Communications, Cian previously freelanced before joining Boys + Girls as Art Director working on brands such as Barnardos, Three, Skoda, Ulster Bank and Energia.

 

OPERATIONS

Joanne Nolan, HR Manager

Having studied HR Management and Accountancy in the National College of Ireland, Joanne hasover 14 years’ experience in all areas of HR. In her new role at Boys + Girls she will be responsible for the 58 members of the agency team.
