Black Dog Films' India Sleem Directs Atmospheric New Ad for GAP

Black Dog Films' latest signing, India Sleem, has directed a new film for clothing brand GAP. The fashion film, part of a GAP commission to several young up-and-coming directors, is true to India’s style – human-centric and highly emotive, focusing on colour, composition, and culture.

“I wanted the film to echo the way that GAP has cast their films throughout the years; and their ability to speak to different audiences.” said India. “I cast most all of my work myself and I have an archive of people I’ve come across on Instagram that I save for the right kind of project. I knew right away I wanted to use Chloe and Zer for this piece. They’d never met before, but their likeness and complementary features were so amazing.”

India’s previous work premiered ‘The Game’ was an intimate look at the New York Basketball scene and the communities that surround it.
