BBDO Dublin has received further global recognition for its groundbreaking VR work for the Road Safety Authority, taking home a total of three gongs at the 40th annual Telly Awards, the world's premier awards honouring video and television content across all screens. BBDO Dublin won across three categories; Craft: Best Use of VR (Silver), General: Public Interest/Awareness (Silver) and Craft: Best Use of 360 (Bronze).
'Consequences' was created for the Road Safety Authority, in collaboration with Irish production company Assembly and VR company Inition. It's a virtual reality project that puts the user in the shoes of a drink driver. With four unique storylines, participants experience the full extent of the agonising consequences of drink driving - from injury to prosecution.
The success at The Telly Awards for 'Consequences' comes after the campaign was recently shortlisted for The Webby Awards and recognised as being one of the five best branded 360-Video campaigns in the world. 'Consequences' is now available on the
Oculus Store and is continuing to tour across Ireland on the RSA Shuttle.
