The ’90s forever changed design. It was the rise of the internet, faster and more powerful computers, new software and the start of rapid prototyping. Design was now digital.
To celebrate Astro Studios’ 25th anniversary, the San Francisco-based design company is presenting a
collaborative exhibit of works from Astro’s early years and Letterform Archive's collection. From brand identity and advertising to products and packaging, the selection will illustrate the impact technology had on this transformative decade. The show, which will be held on Thursday, June 27, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at 348 6th Street (Astro’s offices), will examine the evolution of processes from analog to early digital and how the design industry shifted over time.
All proceeds from this event will go to Letterform Archive’s design preservation efforts.
