Anthony Mandler's 'Ride' for Lana Del Rey

Lana del Rey has paired up again with her “artistic soul mate” Anthony Mandler to create an epically gorgeous film for her single “Ride.” Ten minutes of sweeping visuals take us on the open road with the soulful chanteuse against a backdrop of older bikers and desert highways in a lusty revision of the American Dream.

The film was unveiled at a screening for hundreds of fans at the Aero theatre, followed by a Q+A with Mandler and the singer. Having previously collaborated on the video for “National Anthem,” Lana del Rey explained her connection to the director. "After years of staying true to my own artistic visions, I met Anthony Mandler, who shared my love of all things dark and beautiful and understood my passion and revery for the country that America used to be. He's helped me to bring the visions of my imagination to life and tell my different life stories through film . . ."
