Povill & Cuccinello have partnered to lead the Mitsubishi Motors of NA account

180LA has the privilege to announce award-winning creative directors, David Povill and Dave Cuccinello, have joined the agency.

David (*not Dave) Povill and Dave (*not David) Cuccinello have partnered to lead the Mitsubishi Motors of North America account along with whatever else we throw at them. The duo brings extensive experience, and some serious awards show hardware, to their work.

Povill’s work on brands like Old Spice (“Smellcome to Manhood”) and Volkswagen have won numerous pencils and lions, and his Super Bowl spot for VW, "The Force," held a Guinness World Record for most shared ad ever. He was most recently at Deutsch LA and has worked at othertop agencies across the country including Wieden + Kennedy, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Chiat/Day and David&Goliath.

Dave Cuccinello is an art director by trade, bringing with him over 12 years of experience. Most recently he was kicking ass at Grey NY where he was running Volvo, Crown Royal, and Canon, winning an Emmy and a Silver Lion for his film “Inspired” with Canon.

Before that he was at David & Goliath doing great work on Kia, most notably “Joy Ride,” “Expectations,” and the original hamster stuff for the Soul.

While partnered for the first time at 180LA, Dave and David sat in adjacent offices to each other at David & Goliath.

“We’ve shared a wall, but this is the first time we’ve actually been able to physically see each other,” jokes David Povill. “I always respected his work though and when I heard he was coming to 180LA too, I knew it was the right move.”

“I’m really excited to work with William again, and be a part of the great creative culture that he and the rest of the 180 team have built here,” says Dave Cuccinello.

The team now shares an office overlooking the California Pacific complete with seagulls, ocean breezes, and the daily “180 Instagram hour” sunset.
