Ash Chagla

Founding Partner & Chief Creative Officer - Science & Sunshine

Ash is the founding partner and chief creative officer of Science & Sunshine, an

independent creative agency in Dubai, the city she grew up in and calls home.

A brief stint in account management made Ash realise that she belonged on the

other side of the agency, so she swapped powerpoint for an HB pencil and has

never looked back. She began as a copywriter, working at Lowe, JWT and Y&R Dubai

where she was part of the team responsible for creating notable work such as Coca-

Cola’s “Hello Happiness” and helping the agency become the most awarded Middle

East agency in Cannes Lions history in 2013, and Dubai Lynx Agency of the Year for

3 years in a row from 2011 – 2013.

In 2015, Ash stepped up to be joint ECD of Y&R Dubai. In the same year she won

her first D&AD Yellow Pencil and three Grand Prix at Dubai Lynx. Her work has been

honoured at Cannes Lions, The One Show, Clio Awards and New York Festivals, and

she has served on the Film Jury for Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, New York Festival,

the Radio Jury for One Show, the MENA Jury for the Regional Andy Awards and

most recently the Audio, Film, Outdoor & Press Jury at Adfest 2022.

Along with her partners, she started Science & Sunshine in 2016 with a mission to

create relevant, effective, story-driven work, and in 2021 the agency was awarded

third Independent Agency of the Year at Dubai Lynx.
