EMI Production Music has evolved into one of the world’s most successful library companies, representing more than 40 labels internationally and delivering successful music creation services for a range of television clients. It all began back in 1780 when Robert Keith set up shop in London's Rathbone Place. By 1830 the business had expanded into music publishing, and by 1959 the new KPM Music Group came to fruition. The company very quickly grew legs and a strong reputation and, by 1960, KPM became part of EMI Music Publishing and eventually rebranded itself to EMI Production Music in 2011.
Now with more than 60 years of experience, we’ve remained credible in every decade and have always set the benchmark for others to follow. We’re constantly evolving and our catalogue of more than 125,000 titles crosses every musical genre imaginable: from large-scale orchestral recordings and archive recordings spanning the 20th century to underground dance and cutting-edge indie. On top of this, our music is affordable and extremely easy to use. Both master and synchronization rights can be immediately cleared for worldwide use in one step. Users can test a wide range of music against their productions prior to making any payments, and fees are only due when the production is exhibited, broadcast or offered for sale.
