Little Black Book is looking for a journalist to head up coverage of advertising and creativity in the Asia Pacific region.The role will involve building on and developing existing coverage of and traffic from the area. You will be interviewing prominent figures in the industry, hunting out up-and-coming talent, and writing about work and trends from the regions. You will also be managing a flow of regular features and columns. You’ll also collaborate with our awards and business development teams to develop strategies for expanding the regions.

The Asia Pacific region has the greatest scope for growth and development at Little Black Book. Initially the role will see you work solo, liaising with the team in LBB’s HQ in London, however over time we hope that you will be able to grow a team in the region.
We’re looking for someone with a solid foundation in journalism, a flair for writing, a high degree of personal organisation and, above all, a passion for creativity. It’s a fast-moving job with daily deadlines and involves working as part of a tightly knit team, so we’re looking for someone who will be able to work quickly and accurately. As a representative of Little Black Book in the region, you’ll also be expected to network, host panels and attend events.
We are open to candidates who are based in either Sydney or Singapore.
Accredited journalism training
3+ years of journalism experience
Candidate must be based in Sydney or Singapore
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
An ability to be part of a team while working remotely
Demonstrable organisation skills
Demonstrable curiosity and passion for creativity (art, fashion, gaming, film etc)
Image editing software (e.g. Photoshop, GIMP)
Work experience in busy, team-orientated environment
BA degree 2:1 or higher
Extensive experience and network within the local advertising or commercial production or tech industries would be hugely advantageous
Film editing software (e.g. Final Cut, Adobe Premiere, Filmora)
Experience writing about creativity, tech or advertising
