A new TV spot created by Leo Burnett Chicago for Delta Faucet puts the porcelain throne center stage. Cleverly underscored by “Apache” from The Incredible Bongo Band, the spot seamlessly cuts together a montage of scenes with a little boy in toilet-time situations. He climbs a wooden stool to reach the seat. He stuffs toilet paper down the bowl. And, of course, he plays with the Delta Flush IQ technology waving his hand past the touch-free flush sensor. A voiceover is heard: “Introducing Delta Flush IQ toilets with touch-free flush for when things go right.” The boy, in a dinosaur costume, turns from the toilet toward his parents with a proud, boyish smile. He did it! Then he shoves a stuffed alligator down the toilet and tries to flush. “…and the piece of mind of overflow protection for when they don’t,” the voiceover continues. Fortunately, with Flush IQ toilet overflow protection the motion sensor turns red and the flush stalls.
