In The Woods Festival Promo 2016
Christopher Watson-Wood (Creative Director of Mad Ruffian), has created this visual effects promo for the In The Woods music festival. This promo comprises the best photos from the festival from 2012 - 2014 (taken by Chris and photographer, Tony Jupp) and Chris and the other Ruffians have taken these simple photos and created an entire 3D world from them by meticulously modelling the objects in CG and then projection mapping and digitally painting the images back over them.
We are a mixed-media production, post-production and direction coterie. We create content ranging from live action and visual effects, to CGI animated characters and motion graphics - and we do it all under one roof. We have an arm exclusively devoted to post-production, called Ruffian Post, which allows us to take on post-production work from other production companies, as well as execute Mad Ruffian productions from conception to finished product without having to rely on any outside help. We don’t have a roster of directors, artists, and producers - rather, as a collective, we are director, producer, compositor and editor, and we always strive to surround ourselves with the best collaborators and each Ruffian contributes to the success of the company. We've definitely got some sass but, most importantly, we uphold a code of ethics founded in kindness, integrity, and an insatiable thirst for constantly learning and bettering ourselves.
