Young Ones Taps BMW, United Nations and TOMS for 2017 Briefs
The One Club for Creativity, producer of The One Show and the ADC Annual Awards, today announced the briefs for the 2017 Young Ones College Competition, the most prestigious student competition in advertising and design.
Two briefs form this year’s college competition: the social brief, whose objective is to build peace through partnership, and the client brief, which focuses on BMW Connected.
The social brief tasks students to create or promote a partnership for peace either by using the TOMS brand as a vehicle for promoting global unity or by taking a cue from the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) program and PartnersGlobal’s mission to bring diverse groups together.
The client brief, sponsored by Serviceplan, challenges students to raise awareness for the BMW Connected app – a digital service platform that enhances the connection between car, driver and smartphone – and magnify the perception of BMW as a leader in innovation.
Winners are published in the One Show Annual and on the Young Ones Online Awards Archive, and are invited to attend the Young Ones Education Festival and Awards Ceremony during Creative Week New York in May. Winners receive either a One Show Pencil or an award of excellence for their portfolio.
Visit www.oneshow.org/youngones for more information on the college competition and portfolio competition. The entry deadline is Friday, March 3, 2017.
