The studios gained recognition for work on The New York Times 'The Truth is Worth It' and Exxon's 'Boxer'

The smiles just keep coming this week at Wave Studios as they have won numerous accolades at two of New York’s prestigious industry ceremonies.

First up was a Gold award for sound design at The One Show. The New York Times spot entitled ‘The Truth Is Worth It’ received the impressive award for sound designer Aaron Reynolds and his work on the series of films. They were created by Droga5 NY and directed by Furlined directors Daniel Lindsay and TJ Martin.

The studio also won big at the NY Festivals Advertising Awards. Here, Wave Studios was honoured with both a 1st and 2nd prize of only five awarded. The first prize was in recognition of Aaron Reynold’s sound design for The New York Times.

The second recognises Jack Sedgwick’s sound design for Exxon ‘Boxer,’ created by Abbott Mead Vickers and directed by Stink’s directing duo, Jones + Tino.

Sound designer/mixer Aaron Reynolds moved stateside to head up creative of the studios and along with the team has already created an impressive body of work. After the success of the Amsterdam studios, it was the same intention that led Wave to create the New York outpost.

Founder of Wave, Warren Hamilton comments: “It’s amazing for Wave to see such Global success with our work. Testament to the gifted and dedicated staff we grow with day to day. Aaron, Vicky and Chris in New York are now starting to show their true potential for celebrated craft, a formula we hope to build on despite our short time in this magnificent city. This is a starting point for us, we will endeavour to continue providing award winning creative, innovation and partnerships with our clients to elevate their work and to ensure we are the go-to sound company worldwide.”
