A Year in Space documents an American astronaut and Russian cosmonaut on a 12-month mission on the International Space Station

Congratulations to director Shaul Schwarz this week for winning an Emmy for his PBS Time series Year in Space in the category Outstanding science and technology documentary.

A Year in Space documents American Astronaut Scott Kelly and Russian Cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko on an epic 12 month mission on the International Space Station to understand the effects of long-duration spaceflight on human physiology.

The programme is part of an ambitious experiment to determine if the two and half year mission to Mars can ever realistically be achieved by humans.

Aidan Sullivan, Founder and CEO of Verbatim said, “Shaul’s skills as a documentary film maker are second to none and his Emmy win is truly reflective of his talents. We are proud to represent him and help commercial organisations access his compelling, authentic storytelling abilities.”

Part 2 of a Year in Space will air on PBS November 15th.
