'Vera' Returns to ITV this Sunday with Music from Ben Bartlett

The seventh season of ITV's drama series Vera will premiere this Sunday, March 19th at 8pm, with music from Ben Bartlett.

Based on the series of novels written by Ann Cleeves, Vera follows experienced Detective Chief Inspector Vera Stanhope as she tries to crack some of the toughest cases in Northumberland. The drama series is produced by ITV Studios and stars Brenda Blethyn, Kenny Doughty, Jon Morrison, Noof McEwan, Christopher Colquhoun, Lisa Hammond and Riley Jones.

In the opening episode of the show's seventh season, titled Natural Selection, DCI Vera Stanhope (Brenda Blethyn) is drawn into a suspicious death on Ternstone, a remote and inaccessible island off the coast of Northumberland, home only to numerous species of birds and the rangers who observe them. The last thing anyone expected to see was a body, cruelly washed up on the shore.

Ben Bartlett has provided the score for all seven series of the show. His recent work includes Stan Lee's Lucky Man (Sky) and The Tunnel (Sky).
